Conventional Roofing
In a conventional roofing assembly, the insulation lies UNDER the protective covering (typically a membrane) that is mechanically fastened, fully adhered or fully ballasted. As a result, you need an insulation that can offer a high insulation value, strength, durability and a proven performance in moist environments. Dow Styrofoam™ Deckmate Avance has a high resistance to water and water vapour, excellent compressive strength and long-term durability to stand the test of time, giving you a worry-free performance for years to come.
Low Temperature Roofs
Two products from Dow can be installed directly on metal decks eliminating the need for expensive and labour-intensive thermal barriers. Dow Styrofoam™ Deckmate™ and Dow Styrofoam™ Deckmate Plus™. In terms of long-term performance, insulation products from Dow help protect cold-storage roof systems from moisture absorption that can compromise insulating effectiveness. The closed-cell structure of these products ensures high resistance to water vapour penetration and long-term retention of R-Values.

Steep Slope Roofing
Dow Styrofoam™ Deckmate Avance can be installed directly onto a structural steel deck beneath a sheet membrane, elminating the need for a thermal barrier. Fewer materials, less labour, less time, excellent freeze-thaw resistance, a high compressive strength rating and the long term durability of Deckmate Avance make it ideal for use in steep slope roofing constructions.
